Entertainment

hi & salam.

sorry for the previous updates. u know, girls. PMS. sometimes I pity all men outside. how they can tahan our perangai kan? once in a month, we're going crazy. whatever we said must be agreed, followed without any objection. how grateful if u were born as female, how kesian if u are male.

forget that, lets begin with my wedding updates *excited*

Venue & F&B

I get my f&b price quotation from maritim hall. My mom satisfied with it, but I need to decrease the total number of pax, from 1000 reduce to 800 pax. f&b menu that i requested cost me like grrr.. but never mind, I'm ok with the hall rental charges, chairs, table, PA system, etc. Tq Mr Saiful. eventhough I know u will never read my mengarut blog T_T.

If anyone who decides to set a wedding reception at Pusat Maritim, u can contact him anytime. Of course I can't reveal his number here la. But here's the FB link for Pusat Maritim (Link).

Entertainment

Since my wedding reception is outta budget gila-gila, I never dream to hire anyone for the entertainment, like live band, vocalist, caklempong, ghazal, gamelan, etc. I made a survey for quite a long time... so far, I can summarized that the cost will be around RM2000 and above for any types of entertainment. At first I want a caklempong team, then cancel (sebab mahal), then gamelan, cancel again, then ghazal (cancel again). Mum said we can't afford it since we are on really tight budget.

But suddenly I've found this ukulele band website (Official website & FB page), I definitely fall in love with it. I fell in love with ukulele since I watched a TV show in AXN sometime ago which discussed about ukulele music. but that was in Singapore. I did googled, searched and surveyed to find any music centre which I can learnt to play ukulele in malaysia, but end up with disappointment. If u never heard this awesome instrument, u should give it a try!!

the ukulele music originated from Hawaii if I'm not mistaken. The instrument is look alike guitar but in mini size. but the sound more melodious, soft and classical (myself opinion la).. It made from special wood, maybe that's explain why it doesn't sound like guitar. They provide learning class which cost only RM35 per month! so cheap! I want to learn it if I got the chance. Mr. Equin also interested. hihi.

Surprisingly, the ukelele team do accept live performance in corporate event, birthday, wedding, etc. I have contacted them. They were really good and nice. They responded to me immediately after I gave my email address. The starting price is RM500 and above depends on your request. But normally, they suggest to hire a team which consist 2 ukelele, 1 bassist, 1 vocalist and 1 cajon. you can request any song to play on your event. Isn't it awesome?!

this would be perfect! this performance will complete my wedding reception. it matches with my dais & deco. my wedding reception theme & concept is more towards english garden romantic style (this name I made by myself, however my sis said, the name is too glamour, i should name it as rojak theme -_-).

But, my mom does not agree with my idea :(

she said, ukulele is a string instrument and it does not comply with our Islam religion. No comment. I should shut up. She let me to learn but not to hire them on my wedding reception. Apa kata kawan-kawan mum & makcik-makcik nanti. hurmmm...

Not long after another dissapointment, I found the gamelan team based in semenyih! dekat! they claimed that they are the most cheapest gamelan band in Malaysia. Since I made an earlier survey, I know the normal cost of gamelan. the minimum rate is RM2000 with 5-6 musicians. The name of the band is Adunan Gamelan Irama Melayu. Click their FB link here. They played in many formal & informal occasions. Even TV3 had invited them to perform last year.

Then, I contacted Along (person incharge), he is friendly and he's entertain my question nicely. he said, since my event at Putrajaya, he will not charge me for transportation & lodging cost. they keep the same rate. what a relieved!! the rate is RM1000 and we entitle to get a free kompang! what a great deal! The kompang itself will cost about 250 and above. therefore, this unexpected combo should not to be missed!

they can dress with any colour to match our colour theme. I don't have a colour theme, I prefer them to wear black baju melayu, with yellow tengkolok, yellow sampin and yellow selempang bahu.

After discussing with mom & dad, they agreed to hire them. Then I waited for along's response whether they got vacant slot for me or not on 2nd june. the respond is took 2 days, I was very excited and I called him everyday, text him twice a day. haha. oveerrr.. this is called rezeki nak kahwin. hihi

then, along text my mum, he said they are available and can perform on that date. he asked me to bank in RM100 for the deposit to lock that date and the remaining balance during my event. unlike other vendors, they want 50% deposit. tomorrow, I will meet him in person to give the deposit money and discuss some other stuffs. I prefer to meet him personally rather than bank in the money. It is for safety precautions. It does not mean I do not trust them but, it is for our own sake. furthermore, I want to keep the receipts for my record.

MUA Nikah

my nikah MUA is kak laila rohani from TV3. I've ot her number from one of the b2b blogger. thanx to her. below is the familiar faces using her magic touch. *drools*

so lovely yet natural right?

her rate is RM500 per session. ok la kan. of course la i cannot be like them. they are pretty. but I hope her touch can do some magic with my face. haha. kak laila is very friendly. I booked my solemnization date (31 may). FYI, the agreement is done only via SMS. she was too busy, I don't have the guts to call her. lol. She told me to meet her on april to discuss about my makeup, tudung styling, etc. oh, she wants to see my outfit also.

I asked her how much should I put as deposit. But she refused to accept any payment. She said whatever important is, to lock the date. then meet her on april. I can put my deposit at that time. It sounded risky, but don't know why I trust her 100%! hahaha.

ok bye for now! i want to meet Mr. Saiful for another discussion!

till then, take care.
